Services We Offer
Our psychologists work across the whole family.
Each pathway below sets out what we treat and how the work runs, so you know what you're walking into before you call.
Individual therapy for adults
We offer a range of evidence based treatment approaches for adults. Our psychologists are experienced with working with a lot of different issues including:
We treat
- Social anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, health anxiety and specific phobias
- Depression and low mood
- PTSD and complex trauma
- Difficulties related to ADHD, including exploring identity shift following late life diagnoses and ADHD coaching
- Relationship and communication difficulties
- Work stress and burnout
- Body image and disordered eating
- Grief and loss
- Perinatal mental health
Individual therapy for teenagers
Teenagers get their own therapist and their own space. We teach concrete skills for managing intense emotion, and we work with parents on what support looks like at home without taking over the session.
We treat
- Anxiety and low mood
- Emotion regulation and distress tolerance
- Difficulties related to ADHD and ADHD coaching
- Friendship and interpersonal difficulties
- School and HSC stress
- Self-harm
- Identity, LGBTQIA+ and gender
Child and family therapy
With younger children, most of the change happens through the people around them. Depending on the child's age we work with the family together, coach parents directly, or see the child one to one.
We treat
- Difficulties related to ADHD and other neurodevelopmental presentations
- Childhood anxiety
- Emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Parenting and family functioning
- Peer relationships and school issues
- Childhood trauma
- Bereavement
Every clinician here is trained in more than one model.
Which one you get depends on what is going on for you, and we will tell you why we have chosen it.
We do not use a single treatment approach for everyone. Each treatment plan is built around the person, informed by research, and explained clearly — so you understand what we're doing and why.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Identifies the thoughts and behaviours holding a problem in place, then changes them deliberately. It carries the strongest evidence base of any psychological treatment for anxiety and depression.
Best for: anxiety disorders, panic, OCD, depression.Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
Teaches four sets of concrete skills: distress tolerance, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness and mindfulness. Built for people who feel everything at full volume.
Best for: intense emotion, self-harm urges, unstable relationships.Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Rather than arguing with difficult thoughts and feelings, ACT builds the capacity to carry them and act on what matters anyway.
Best for: chronic illness and pain, grief, burnout, stuckness.Schema Therapy
Works on the long-standing patterns that formed early and keep replaying in adult relationships and work. Slower than CBT, and designed for problems that have not shifted with shorter-term treatment.
Best for: entrenched relationship patterns, personality difficulties, childhood trauma.Interpersonal Therapy
Treats depression through the relationships and role changes surrounding it: a bereavement, a new baby, a move, a rupture.
Best for: depression, perinatal mental health, life transitions.Radically Open DBT
For over-control rather than under-control: perfectionism, rigidity, emotional distance, a life run so tightly there is no room left in it. The opposite problem to standard DBT, and it needs the opposite treatment.
Best for: perfectionism, restrictive eating, chronic depression, social disconnection.Metacognitive Therapy
Targets the worrying and ruminating itself rather than the content of the worry. Often effective where standard CBT has stalled.
Best for: generalised anxiety, chronic rumination.Mindfulness-integrated CBT
A four-stage program combining mindfulness training with CBT, moving from internal regulation outward to relationships and relapse prevention.
Best for: recurrent depression, anxiety, stress-related conditions.Parent-Child Interaction Therapy
The therapist coaches the parent live, in the room, while they play with their child. Behaviour changes at home because the parent's skills change, not because the child has been sent somewhere to be fixed.
Best for: behavioural difficulties in young children.ADHD Coaching
Practical work on the executive function difficulties that cause the most damage day to day: time, task initiation, follow-through, organisation. Runs alongside therapy or on its own.
Best for: diagnosed ADHD in adults and adolescents.Clinical supervision.
Several of our senior clinicians are Board-approved supervisors, providing supervision for provisional psychologists, registrars completing clinical endorsement, and experienced practitioners who want a second mind on complex cases.
Supervision runs in person in Ultimo or by videoconference, individually or in small groups.
Who we supervise
Provisional psychologists completing their supervised practice hours, registrars working toward clinical endorsement, and experienced psychologists seeking peer consultation on complex presentations.
What it costs, and what you get back.
Most of our clients claim a rebate. Here is what you are likely to be eligible for, and what to ask your GP before your first appointment.
Medicare — Better Access
With a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you can claim a Medicare rebate on up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Ask your GP for a plan at the appointment where you discuss the referral.
Other Medicare plans
You may also be eligible under a GP Management Plan (Chronic Disease Management) or an Eating Disorder Treatment Plan, among others. Your GP will know which applies to you.
Private health funds
Many funds refund part of the session fee under extras cover. The amount depends on your policy. You cannot claim from Medicare and a private fund for the same session.
Overseas Student Health Cover
International students referred under a Mental Health Care Plan are usually eligible for refunds from their OSHC insurer, often in line with Medicare rebates. Check with your individual insurer for details.
Students and low-income earners
We hold a reduced rate for full-time students and people on a low income. Tell us when you enquire and we will let you know what is available.
The hardest part should be deciding, not waiting.
We keep our waitlists short. Here is what getting started actually looks like.
Seen within 14 days
If you can see any of our clinicians and your availability is reasonably flexible, we can usually book your first appointment within 14 days of your call. Requesting a specific clinician or a narrow time window will extend that.
Appointments on weekdays and weekends
Weekdays during and outside business hours, plus weekends. Built for people who cannot take time off work or miss class to get to therapy.
In person or telehealth
Our rooms are in Ultimo, a short walk from Central Station, UTS and Broadway Shopping Centre. Telehealth by video is available across Australia.
